Richard Vogel is the first German rider in 14 years to be the Day 2 leader Carsten-Otto Nagel led after Day 2 in 2011
This is the first time in 18 years that the Day 1 Team leader held onto their lead after Day 2. Germany led both after Day 1 & Day 2 in 2007, when the Netherlands eventually went on to win after Day 3.
Great Britain has maintained the smallest post-Day 2 score (3.96) we have seen in 20 years.
Across the last 7 European Championships, only three times has the Day 2 leader of the Team Competition gone on to win Team Gold .
No European Team has been perfect across Day 2 and Day 3 during the past 7 European Championships. Two teams came close: In 2015, Team NL only added 1 penalty to their Day 1 score. In 2019, Team Belgium only added 1 penalty to their Day 1 score.
